The blog has been neglected. I will have one session to add to it but all of the others won’t make it. We had a terminal RAID crash on our server and have lost everything. Family photos for the last 4 years and all of the clients photos are pretty much gone. A few were corrupted and may be able to be saved but will require hours of work on my part…so that will wait till the kids are back in school.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

We finally got around to doing our family portrait for our cards today and after 15 minutes both kids had had enough. Here is the results from our mini family session :
Sharing a quick snapshot taken with the point and shoot before heading out to trick or treat. Each kid came home with 26 pieces of candy after I took out the laffy taffy and tootsie rolls that I know the dentist would really not like to hear about.

Poor kid - her backpack is bigger than she is. We shed a few tears today but when I left she was doing great. Can’t wait to pick her up later to hear how her day was.
Last year my daughter was in Kindergarten. I decided that I should get the school picture just so I can have one for each year. Well after receiving it I decided to do my own school picture for her. Luckily I bought the digital file so I don’t have lots of pictures sitting around. So here you go:

What more could a girl ask for. Well I made the cupcakes but they are still a birthday treat. Thank you for the flowers Cathey, Jessie and Matt.
I have to share the most wonderful cards my 5 1/2 year old daughter wrote for me. They are too light to photograph since she used pencil and dark paper so I will tell you what she wrote.

Last night before heading to bed I noticed this beautiful sight. Of course I had to get a picture of it. Luckily both of my children seemed to be unaffected by the full moon (unlike usual) and slept great.
We are loving all of this sunshine. For the first time in a few months it was nice enough to bring the camera outside. My 2 cooperated with me so well as long as I delivered the promised batman and my little pony fruit snacks.
So enjoy this weather, hopefully it will last. I can already feel it lifting my spirits and anticipating the spring and summer sessions.
As of now I have been a natural light photographer with a little flash thrown in when it is dreary. Well I have added a new tool to my arsenal. Studio Lights. These can still be done on location and I will still utilize your home and not backdrops. Here are my guinea pigs. My children:
